Continuing to pull the curtain back and show you more and more of the people in our team, we decided to put Marti on the spot. She’s been a part of Zingasoft’s gentle force for a few years already and manages our projects and customer relationships with a never-ending smile.

Exploring new paths leads to success
There are quite a few curious facts about Marti. One that pops to mind for example is that she spent 6 years as a successful software engineer, and then decided to try a completely new challenge. She openly stated her interest in the area of project management and customer engagement. Then, relying on the support of the team, she took upon this new role and it all went beyond expectations!
Currently, Marti is an Agile Project Manager in Zingasoft’s team. As such she’s engaged in the discovery (analysis) phase for many of the potential or ongoing projects we have. During that part of a project lifecycle, she makes sure all the important aspects are cleared with the customer. Then, they are conveniently documented.
Once a project is kicked-off, Marti switches to a different mode, where she makes sure our software engineers keep their focus on customer priorities and regularly deliver value. The latter she demonstrates and validates with the customer himself.
One of the latest successful projects she and the rest of the team brought to life was MedUNIQA. This is an eHealth solution that helps the clients of UNIQA Bulgaria to get consultations from a medic, without leaving their house.
Hard work and curiosity are fun
“I love meeting and talking with new people, colliding with different characters, and balancing those differences for a good purpose!” – Marti says. Having this kind of positivity and excitement influences her work and the results she’s achieving.
Another thing that helps here is curiosity. She is curious about the specifics of a customer’s business to the point where she understands it intimately, or curious about how other teams are working – do they follow the good practices or use a convenient tool. Also, she is constantly curious about finding new and better ways of doing what she does.
Being in a more people-centric than the technology-centric role requires different ways of staying “fit” in what you do. Some of Marti’s tricks involve keeping up to date with the latest good practices. She is regularly reading articles about it, improving communication and presentation skills by reading literature. Also, she is practicing her talks before meetings and demos. Last, she is always keeping an open mind for all the suggestions and advice coming her way either from the inside and the outside of our team.
Travel the world, experience it all
When asked how she loves spending her free time, without a drop of hesitation Marti answers with a single word – “Travelling!”. For her, it is not only about the destination. Marti enjoys spending hours in the research of different places and planning how to get there, what to do once she arrives, and to put this in a well-structured agenda. Yes, organizing stuff is another passion of hers.
“There are two places I’d live in if I had to choose somewhere else than Bulgaria – either somewhere in Japan or in Nice”. Those two are quite different, but she explains how Japan fascinates her with the harmony in their society – all the good manners and the diligence they all have along with the discipline and the rules they follow to the smallest of detail. As for Nice… This seems to be the place that stole her heart forever. In her own words – “I don’t have a rational argument, why I love it so much, but I absolutely do!”

With the remote-working culture we have in Zingasoft, we can only imagine where Marti will be during the next year. Either way, we are certain we’d be able to rely on her excellence when driving some of our major projects.
